Style Guide 2.0

Developing and maintaining style guides for 5 different E-commerce websites and setting up a consistent design language for a small, Agile Product Team was not an easy problem to tackle. The implementation of a “living” style guide using Atomic Design Pattern and Design Ops tools Hologram, SASS and Gulp to compile documentation as well as production-ready CSS was a solution.

This proved an exponential step that sped up the design to development time. It streamlined communications between designers and developers on the team and ensured the accuracy of our design and brand standards interfacing with third-party vendors. Supplemental creative templates like PSD, Ai, and template files were also version controlled in git repos to promote sharing and collaboration between departments.
