Redesigning of Firsthand website after a couple of years maturing their existing portfolio of products and manufacturing techniques. The client was ready now to expand their categories of manufacturing capabilities. The request (challenge) was to expand the website catalog of services to market to client specialized industries.

Why

The old Firsthand (FH) site was organized flat and limited in detail for product capabilities per industry. Through analysis of the user-behavior, the About Us was ranked as a top destination. Hypothesis: The site was missing a story, taking the direction of unboxing new parts, industry specifics and adding a personal touch would go along way. First, the new categories were added.

How

Beyond getting the hand into view in the photography and reorganized architecture by industry: product, auto, electronics… Build trust with consistent terminology and content reducing the need for client inquiries for specialized needs.
